The design of Tapered Roller Bearing is that the raceway surfaces of the inner ring and the outer ring and the apex of the roller cone converge to a point on the central axis of the bearing, and the radial load acts on the bearing, which can bear radial load and unidirectional shaft. to the load. When a load acts on a bearing, an axial component force will be generated. Therefore, like an angular contact ball bearing, two bearings are generally used opposite each other, or as a paired double bearing or double row bearing. In this case, the proper internal clearance can be set by adjusting the distance between the inner ring or the outer ring. The truncated cone-shaped rollers are assembled in the bearing as rolling elements and are guided by the large ribs of the inner ring.

The bearing is fitted with conical rolling elements guided by large ribs on the inner ring. It can bear radial load and unidirectional axial load, and has large bearing capacity. As high load capacity bearings, there are HR series with increased roller size and number of rollers. Like angular contact ball bearings, two sets of bearings are generally used opposite each other. Appropriate clearance can be obtained by adjusting the size of the inner ring or outer ring spacer. Since it is a separate type, the inner ring and outer ring can be installed separately. According to the size of the contact angle, it can be divided into ordinary cone angle type, medium cone angle type and large cone angle type; according to the number of rows of rollers, it can be divided into double row and four row tapered roller bearings.
The steel stamping cage is generally used, and the pin-type cage is also used for large-size tapered roller bearings.

Metric Series Tapered Roller Bearing
Metric Series Medium Taper Angle Bearings and Large Taper Angle Bearings, the contact angle code C and D are recorded after the inner diameter code respectively. Ordinary taper angle bearings are not marked with contact angle code, and medium taper angle bearings are mainly used for pinion shafts of automobile differential devices. In the HR series with high load capacity, the basic code is marked with J, and its outer ring width, outer ring raceway small end face diameter and contact angle are consistent with ISO regulations. Therefore, the inner ring assembly (CONE) and outer ring of the bearing with the same basic code marked with this code are internationally interchangeable. Among the tapered roller bearings of the metric series specified by ISO355, there are new dimensions that do not conform to the 3xx dimension series that have been used in the past. Some of them are listed in the size table. The width of the outer ring, the diameter of the small end face of the outer ring raceway and the contact angle are consistent with the ISO regulations, and the inner ring components and the outer ring are internationally interchangeable.
